Larisa von Riewel holds a Ph.D in Applied Mathematics and a Ph.D in Theoretical Physics from the University of Tübingen. Her areas of expertise are heat transfer mechanisms, interaction of radiation with matter, and computational physics and chemistry, focusing on industrial applications.

She has 24 years of theoretical and practical experience in academic and industrial research. As a holder of 30 patents, she contributed to almost 50 scientific publications in renowned international journals.

Currently, she leads the innovation and research activities for the global team promoting photonic solutions along the battery value chain.
