Johannes Hattendorff studied physics at the University of Hamburg and at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm. After that, he enrolled in an MBA program at Collège des Ingénieurs (CDI), Paris. And already in 2011, he entered the field of lithium-ion batteries while working on a joint PhD program at BMW AG and Technical University Munich.

In 2016 he joined the newly formed battery business of Webasto and held various positions in lead engineering in Germany and Korea where he supported major project starts. Since 2024 he is responsible for global Business Development for OE customers.
