Andreas Fischer is active in the field of electrochemical energy storage and conversion for more than 25 years. As Executive Expert and Vice President “Batteries and Electrochemistry” at BASF, he established and lead R&D teams in Japan, North America, and Germany. Currently Andreas is working in the field of cathode active materials for lithium-ion batteries with a special focus on monitoring the battery technology development for automotive applications. Based on his broad expertise in the field of electrochemical energy storage he serves on several advisory boards of mainly academic institutions.
